Isaiah 61:1-3 The ministry of Jesus described by the prophet Isaiah is the ministry we’re supposed to be doing unto the glory of The Lord.

The Year of the Lord’s Favor

Isaiah 61:1

A) The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.

B) He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

C) to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

D) to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and

E) the day of vengeance of our God,

F) to comfort all who mourn,

G) and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,

H) the oil of joy instead of mourning, and

I) a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

J) They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Jesus was all about saving, setting free, healing, delivering, giving joy, and creating oaks unto righteousness.

We’re supposed to be a reflection of Jesus. Why? Because “we are being transformed into the image of God’s beloved son” Jesus. There are so many promises for each and everyone of us who are in Christ. How do we find out what they are? We have to press in like our life depended on it.
